December 2018 - April 2019

On Christmas eve I bought my first car. A little 2004 Opel Combo with 250,000 km on it. This car would be our home for the next 4 months as we embarked on an ambitious road trip from Europe to West Africa. In April 2019, I made it to Ivory Coast, my final destination after a total of 12 countries, 16 000 km and 22 flat tires.
We drove through the mountains of Morocco, the desert of Mauritania, the beaches of The Gambia and the jungle of Guinea. All I can say is that Africa is not as scary as it seems. People here have been extremely welcoming and I think we have a lot to learn from them.
I created a  3 part series from my journey. My first endeavour in solo documentary filmmaking. The series can be found on my Youtube channel.

Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Côte-d’Ivoire.
